Who we are
YPL Invisible Grill is a leading invisible grill installation company in Chennai, fitting stainless steel invisible grills, balcony safety grills and safety nets in homes, apartments, hospitals and schools across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. We started in August 2020 from our workshop at 40/17, New St, Kannammapet, T. Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600017, and we are still run from the same address today as a Proprietorship, by the same team that measures and fits your job.
Most of our work comes from families who have just moved into a flat with an open balcony and small children, and from societies that have stopped allowing welded grills on the facade. Both want the same thing: a child-safe, rust-proof invisible grill that actually holds, without turning the building into a cage. Every job starts with a free site visit, an exact measurement and a written quote — installation is included in our per-square-foot rate.

You call or write
Tell us the opening — balcony, window, staircase — and send a photo if you have one. We give a rough rate over the phone the same day.

We visit and measure
A team member measures every opening and checks the surface the anchors go into. This visit is free and comes with a written quote by square foot.

You pick the grade
We bring cable samples in 304, 314 and 316 so you can see the thickness and the coating before you decide.

We install
Anchors are set, cables threaded and tensioned with a calibrated tool. A typical balcony is done in a morning, with dust sheets down and the floor left clean.

We come back
Free inspection and re-tensioning on request, plus repairs if a cable is ever damaged.

Invisible grill price in Chennai
We charge per square foot of opening, and the rate includes the cable, anchors, track and installation by our own team. There is no separate labour bill. The minimum job size is 50 sq ft. Your exact rate depends on the cable grade, the spacing and the floor height, which is why every quote starts with a free site visit and a tape measure, not a guess over the phone.

All cables are nylon coated, which protects the steel from dust and salt, keeps them smooth to touch for children and stops the metallic shine that makes ordinary wire stand out. Cable spacing is usually 2 to 3 inches — close enough that a child's head cannot pass through.

Aluminium tracks are fixed to the top and bottom with anchor bolts suited to concrete, brick or block.

We test every run, clean up the site and show you how to care for the grill.
A normal 2BHK balcony is finished in a single day, usually 3 to 5 hours, with very little drilling dust and no welding.

Are invisible grills strong enough for children?
Yes. Each tensioned stainless cable holds a load in the region of 400 kg, and the 2–3 inch spacing stops a child from slipping through.
What is the invisible grill price per sq ft in Chennai?
₹110 to ₹350 per sq ft depending on the product and grade — pigeon nets ₹110–180, window grills ₹160–230 and balcony grills ₹220–350. Installation is included and the minimum job is 50 sq ft.
Will an invisible grill rust near the sea?
Not when it is SS 316 marine grade with nylon coating, which is what we recommend for sea-facing homes.
Do invisible grills block the view?
No. The cables are thin and spaced apart, so from a few steps away they almost disappear and light and air pass straight through.
How long does installation take?
Most balconies and windows are finished in one day, usually within 3 to 5 hours.
Can pigeons get through an invisible grill?
Pigeons can pass through standard spacing. If birds are the problem, ask for a pigeon net or a combination of grill and net.
