What we installed

Vertical stainless steel invisible grill cables across both faces of the corner balcony, fitted above the existing black metal railing.

A slim aluminium top track fixed under the balcony ceiling slab and a bottom track along the parapet ledge, with stainless fasteners.

Every cable tensioned so the line stays straight and firm, at the spacing agreed for that opening.

The balcony stays in daily use – chairs, drying and the air-conditioner units sit exactly where they were.

Why corner balconies need both faces covered

A corner balcony has two open faces, so protecting only one leaves the other side open to the drop. Running cables across both faces keeps the same protection all the way around without boxing the balcony in with a wall or a solid gate.

What the site visit covers

We measure each face, check what the top and bottom tracks can be fixed to, note the cable grade and finish, and hand over a written quote for the exact area.

All cables are nylon coated, which protects the steel from dust and salt, keeps them smooth to touch for children and stops the metallic shine that makes ordinary wire stand out. Cable spacing is 4 inches (100 mm) as standard; where young children or small pets use the opening we fit closer 2 inch (50 mm) spacing instead.

Are invisible grills strong enough for children?

Yes. Each tensioned stainless cable holds a load in the region of 400 kg. Our standard 4 inch (100 mm) gap suits older children and adults; where toddlers or small pets use the opening we fit the closer 2 inch (50 mm) spacing, which is what we recommend for that case.

What is the invisible grill price per sq ft in Chennai?

Will an invisible grill rust near the sea?

Can pigeons get through an invisible grill?

Pigeons can pass through standard spacing. If birds are the problem, ask for a pigeon net or a combination of grill and net.
